The Genesis: A Life of Service and Sacrifice

Our founder's journey began in the disciplined corridors of the Indian Army, where she served with honor and dedication. Her tenure in the armed forces instilled in her values of resilience, adaptability, and an unyielding spirit—qualities that would later become the cornerstone of her entrepreneurial venture. Life as an army officer meant frequent relocations, uprooting her family every 1.5 to 2 years to different corners of the nation. Each move presented its own set of challenges, especially as a mother of two young children.​

"Going through so many emotional and mental ups and downs, trying to find my own place and space," she reflects. "Every time struggling to find products for kids or home while stationed at the country's remote outposts, with no delivery options available. Often compromising on the things I loved due to non-availability or affordability."​

These experiences of scarcity and compromise planted the seeds of a vision—a desire to bridge the gap between remote artisans and consumers, ensuring that the beauty of Indian craftsmanship could reach every household, irrespective of location.​

Discovering India's Artisanal Heartbeat

During her relocations, she immersed herself in the local cultures, traditions, and crafts of each region. From the vibrant textiles of Rajasthan to the intricate weaves of Assam, she witnessed firsthand the unparalleled skill and dedication of Indian artisans. However, she also observed the challenges they faced—limited access to markets, lack of recognition, and financial instability.​

One poignant encounter was with Meeron, a Sindhi woman from the desert area of Jodhpur-Barmer range, who had been mastering appliqué and embroidery work for the past 28 years. Despite her expertise, Meeron struggled to sustain her craft in the face of modern industrialization.​

Another significant experience was in Jaipur, where she spent time with a family of third-generation block print artisans specializing in furnishings, bedsheets, and home décor. Despite their rich legacy, they grappled with diminishing demand and the threat of their art fading into obscurity.​

These interactions deepened her resolve to create a platform that would not only showcase these crafts but also provide artisans with sustainable livelihoods.​

Drawing from her experiences and the challenges she faced in accessing quality handcrafted products, she envisioned Myshpra Global—a brand dedicated to bringing authentic Indian artisanal products to the global market. "As a mother, moving every couple of years, I faced the constant challenge of creating a nurturing home environment," she shares. "Accessing quality home décor or children's products was a luxury I couldn't afford, both due to availability and financial constraints. This personal journey made me acutely aware of the broader issue—if I struggled, so did countless others, including the artisans crafting these products."​

This realization fueled her determination to ensure that Myshpra Global would serve as a bridge, connecting artisans with consumers seeking authentic, affordable, and high-quality handcrafted products.​
